Megaways Multipliers: Identify What the Number Multiplies

A multiplier can apply to a cascade sequence, one wild, a total win or a persistent free-spin meter. The visible “x” value is not meaningful until its scope and reset rule are known.

Multipliers may apply to a single tumble, an entire cascade or a bonus round, and some reset while others increase. The paytable should identify both the value being multiplied and the point at which the counter returns to its base level.

Name the multiplier type

Use the rule panel to identify global tumble, symbol, wild, reel, collected or feature multiplier. Record whether several values add, multiply together or apply independently.

Locate the activation moment

Determine whether the value is active before evaluation, after a winning cascade or only inside a bonus. Animations can display a meter before it affects a payout.

Follow persistence and reset

Track the value through each cascade and spin, then note exactly when it returns to baseline. Free-spin persistence should not be assumed in the base game.

Recalculate a sample win

Use stake, ways result, paytable value and the applicable multiplier to reconstruct one completed ledger entry. Treat unexplained rounding or caps as questions for the rule panel.
